The Copperface Jacks Legend

Copperface Jacks brings to life the story of the original, John Scott*. With a venue design that evokes a sense of the raconteur with history and storytelling, Copperface Jacks is the sort of bar the judge would have loved hold court in – apparently he was a better drinker than he was judge – thus the nick name!

*John Scott, 1st Earl of Clonmel (1739 –1798), known as The Lord Earlsfort between 1784 and 1789 and as The Viscount Clonmel between 1789 and 1793, was an Irish barrister and judge. Sometimes known as “Copperface Jack, he was Lord Chief Justice of the King’s Bench for Ireland from 1784 to 1798.
